Young looking Mohan Babu is Trisha’s brother in 'Bujjigadu'

One of the main highlights of Puri Jagannath’s upcoming film 'Bujjigadu -- Made in Chennai' is the presence of Mohan Babu. He is said to be playing the brother of Trisha in the film.

As per the tinsel ville sources, it is said to be a well-etched character that would suit the range and versatility of Mohan Babu. Also, Puri is said to have kept the veteran star’s popular image in mind, before coming up with the offer.

Naturally, given Puri’s track record and his Midas touch at the box-office, Mohan Babu decided to play the part. Those who have had a sneak peek at the rushes say that Mohan Babu looks amazingly young in the film. The character too is said to have been moulded well by the director, with lots of depth.

It is not every day that one gets Mohan Babu to say yes to play a special role in their film. So, it came as a shock to many in the industry when Puri got him to do his film despite it not being Mohan Babu’s home production.

Till date, Mohan Babu did not venture into doing special roles for other banners, especially after he had turned a producer and leading man himself.

However, there was a time when he did work for friends in the industry as he was considered to be a bankable villain and a dialogue king.

His unique style of dialogue delivery made him the most popular bad man, which also paved the way for him turning into a leading man later.

Many leading filmmakers are happy with this new phase of Mohan Babu, though they are not sure if Mohan Babu will do this more often. Most of them insist this is just an exception to the rule.

However, we believe it is up to Mr Babu to end the speculation. Till he decides when, we all, in the media, will wait and watch!
